When making a claim to an employment tribunal,
the claim must always be made within a very strict time limit. This is often
just three months from the date of dismissal.
In all cases, if you make a claim of unfair dismissal to an employment tribunal
and you win your claim, the employment tribunal can award you compensation for
the unfair dismissal from your employer and/or tell your employer to give you
your job back. It is very rare, however, for tribunals to tell employers to give
an employee their job back. It is much more usual for the tribunal to award
compensation to the employee.
